___Nintendo Power was the first magazine that I ever got a subscription to, just after my Christmas 1988 acquisition of an NES. I was a subscriber for 3 or 4 years (the first issue I received was the 4-Player Strategy Guide [19] and the last issue I received was somewhere in the 60s, sometime after they had started focusing on SNES & GB and had completely dropped the NES). One of the yearly renewals even got me a free copy of Dragon Warrior (NES). I have recently started focusing on collecting the complete Nintendo Power set (the current issue is 228), the Nintendo Fan Club Newsletter that preceeded it, and the Nintendo Power published strategy guides.
